Shop the Cybex Callisto G 360 at Albee Baby
If ever there was a car seat that you’d have wished you could have had when you were younger, the Callisto G 360 from Cybex is that car seat. Needless to say, we’re really excited for this one. It rotates, it grows with your child, and it installs in about as much time as it takes to buckle your own seat belt. For parents looking for something safe, easy, and built with real-world comfort in mind, the Callisto G 360 is absolutely a player on the rise.
Why We Are Loving the Callisto G 360
There’s a lot to appreciate here. First, the 360° rotation. You’ve probably heard about how great rotating car seats are, but it is hard to know how great one is until you’ve tried it. Loading and unloading your baby or toddler without breaking your back? If you’re one of the many of us who have more back pain than you thought you would in this life, you’ll be so thankful for this seat.
Then there’s the SafeLock installation system. Tether, route, click, done. It’s a one-time install that gives you confidence the seat is in correctly. The SensorSafe chest clip is another peace-of-mind feature, alerting you in the front seat if your child unbuckles during the ride, if the backseat gets too hot or too cold, or if your child is still strapped in after you’ve left the car (hopefully this never happens, but for sleep-deprived people, it unfortunately can). Now add in a steel-reinforced frame, integrated side-impact protection, and the anti-rebound base . . . and you have an amazingly secure mini-fortress for your child.
Parents have been glad to share their real-world experiences, and the best features are clear: comfort, ease-of-use, and just the overall quality of the Callisto. The fabric feels breathable, the headrest adjusts (in 12 positions) without rethreading, and the rotating motion is smooth. Furthermore, there are magnetic buckle holders to keep the straps out of the way—a small detail, but one that parents have continually mentioned to us.
A few parents have commented that the seat sits a little upright for some younger babies, even on the lowest recline. And the Callisto is a bit heavy. But this isn’t a seat you’re meant to carry around, either, so unless you’re moving the seat daily + you’re a smaller person, the weight shouldn’t be a problem at all.
